Interlaced Circles Leather Journal from The Met Museum

$58.00

This luxurious leather journal takes its design from the pattern on a Japanese quilted cotton jacket in The Met collection, made during the second half of the 19th century. Sashiko is a quilting technique that uses a running stitch to reinforce a textile or combine recycled pieces into a new garment. This robe’s striking embroidered motif is dominated by three variations on the pattern of interlocking circles called shippō-tsunagi.
