The 1960’s were a great time for lighting. Innovation was at its peak and the glamour of hotel lobbies and midcentury homes inspired many beautiful, fixtures, including the Taraxacum Pendant Light from Achille Castiglioni.
This light was reworked in the 1980’s to feature a mixture of deep incandescent lighting and cool, polished aluminum triangles. The update came for a need to create stunning fixture for more commercial spaces and includes 20 pressed and polished aluminum equilateral triangles fitted with electrical sockets. The sockets are filled with 60 clear 25-watt globe lamps, invoking the bloom of a dandelion. The suspension fixture provides direct and reflected incandescent light with a transparent finish.
