Audo Copenhagen | Overstock – Kubus 4 Candle Holder – Burnished Copper

Introduced in 1962 by Mogens Lassen, the Kubus collection represents his lifelong devotion to the Bauhaus ideal of functionalism, where rationalism trounces the merely ornamental. The collection is also a fine example of his craftsman’s appreciation of materials. Here, he uses the solid stock steel to heighten the simplicity and strength of the Kubus collection. A prolific designer and architect, Mogens was as equally adept at creating pieces to include in the buildings as he was designing them, and has left a rich archive still being discovered by design fans today.
