Van Gogh Roses Dinner Plate Set from The Met Museum

$69.00

Our set of four stoneware dinner plates features details from Roses, the celebrated still life in The Met collection by Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890). Decorating the dinner plates’ rims, the pretty ceramic design shows the artist’s lush rose petals and dark foliage on a pale green ground. In May 1890, just before his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy, the artist painted an exceptional group of four still lifes, to which the Museum’s Roses, (and also Irises ) belong. These stunning bouquets were created by Van Gogh as a thematic quartet.
