Van Gogh Roses 5-Piece Place Setting from The Met Museum

$70.00

Our stoneware service for one features details from Roses, the celebrated still life in The Met collection by Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890). The matching dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, cup, and saucer highlight the artist’s lush rose petals and dark foliage on a pale green ground. In May 1890, just before his departure from the asylum in Saint-Rémy, the artist painted an exceptional group of four still lifes, to which the Museum’s Roses, (and also Irises ) belong. These stunning bouquets were created by Van Gogh as a thematic quartet.
