Santa’s Workshop Advent Calendar from The Met Museum

Get ready for Christmas 2021 with this interactive Advent calendar featuring whimsical pop-ups and illustrations of Santa in his workshop. With toys to make, presents to wrap, and lists to check (twice), Santa has lots to prepare before making those Christmas Eve deliveries. Each December day leading up to Christmas corresponds with a different window that opens to reveal Santa tailoring garments, answering the phones, taking a well-deserved nap, and more. The illustrations featured on our Advent calendar are details from vintage greeting cards by the American Artists Group Archive. The central image is by Barney Tobey (American, 1906-1989), a famed illustrator and cartoonist whose work has been exhibited at The Met. Produced in cooperation with American Artists Group.
