Russian Imperial Banded Bangle, Black from The Met Museum

Our Russian Imperial Banded Bangle recalls the luxurious jewel-toned enamels produced by the House of Fabergé. The 18K gold-plated hinged bangle has a magnetic closure that makes it easy to wear. It provides a bold accent in classic black that goes from day to evening. Celebrating the work of Peter Carl Fabergé (Russian 1846-1920), the earrings evoke the decorative finishes seen on a pair of opulent opera glasses (1885-1917) on loan at The Met, which feature rose and green gold, trois-couleur gold, guilloché enamel, silver, and rose-cut diamonds. Fabergé’s studios produced a host of precious objets d’art. Their ultimate achievement was the series of jeweled Easter eggs created for Czars Alexander III and Nicholas II of Russia.
