Roman Fringe Tourmaline Necklace from The Met Museum

Our delicate necklace evokes a stunning piece of Early Imperial Roman jewelry (1st century B.C-1st century A.D.) in The Met collection. During the previous Roman Republic, laws aimed at limiting the ostentatious display of personal wealth meant that Roman women wore few personal embellishments.
