Dehn Spring in Central Park Square Silk Scarf from The Met Museum

$65.00

Our colorful scarf features a reproduction of a delightful 1941 watercolor in the Museum’s collection by artist Adolf Dehn (American, 1895-1968). While living in New York City, Dehn captured scenes from Harlem nightclubs, burlesque theaters, Central Park, and high society. His watercolor Spring in Central Park is one of several bucolic views of the skyline and the park at different seasons. Looking south from the Sheep Meadow toward midtown Manhattan, Dehn references the distinctive architecture of two large hotels along Central Park South-the Hampshire House and the Essex House, while the Empire State Building rises in the distance.
